DigitView Freeview Satellite Receiver Set-Up

With AUTO SCAN feature, installation for the DigitView Receiver couldn’t be easier. Enjoy crystal clear Freeview TV in no time.  Follow INSTRUCTION below !

The receiver has pre-set NZ Freeview channels, in most cases you may just connect the dish cable to the "LNB In" of the receiver, it would work straight away.  If not, it is most likely your LNB is different to the default LNB settings on the receiver, in this case you may change the "LNB Freq 1" to 10750.  See Step B below.

If you still get the 'No Signal' message, don't panic, please follow instruction below:

Step 1
Delete all channels on the TV channel list.
To delete channels: press' MENU' on remote, go to Channels/TV Channel, press '5' on the remote, then enter password '0000'. Press 'EXIT' then 'OK' to save changes.

Step 2
You should perform Factory Default if you have attempted to set up the receiver, and have changed any setting (see Instruction below). If it is a fresh installation, then read on.  Press Menu button on your remote to go to the Main menu page, select Satellite then Auto Scan.

Step 3
Make sure OPTUS D1 and Free are selected, then highlight Free and press OK. The receiver will now start scanning channels.

Step 4
Scan in process...
The receiver will scan and automatically find new channels.
Depending on location and signal strength, the search process will take around 4 to 10 minutes.  Once the process is done, save your setting.
Enjoy crystal clear Satellite TV.

Set Up for Sky dual LNB

Step A
If your LNB is different to the default LNB settings, or if you are using a Sky dish that has a dual LNB (oval shape as oppose to the round shape normal single LNB), when you set up the DigitView receiver, it might be necessary to change the LNB setting.  From Step 2 above, select Edit Satellite then OK

Step B
Change the LNB Freq 1 to 10750Mhz (10750 and 11300 are the 2 most used frequencies), then change 22K to OFF, save and exit, then follow Step 3 above to Scan.  If it is not working, change the 22K to ON, then try to scan again.

Factory Default
If you have entered incorrect data, can not change them back, simply reset the receiver to Factory Default, then start the set up again from STEP1.

Sometimes if you do the initial set up when the weather is bad, signal is too weak to be detected. so maybe you can try again, when it is good weather.  Reset the box to Factory default again, then do a Blind Scan, see if you can get more channels.

Go to Menu - Tools - Default Value then OK

Confirm Factory Default, enter default password "0000".  Receiver will be reset to its original status.
